Footprints in the snow...

A bird's, we think...

The snow is thawing, but the paths at the front of the house were treacherously icy, especially the steps up from the road. I was expecting a couple of heavy parcels to be delivered this afternoon, and with no way of informing the driver how to reach the back of the house (a much safer, flatter way, more or less clear of ice), I felt obliged to clear the paths. Spent an hour or so doing just that, and just after I'd finished the parcels were delivered safely.

Bitterly cold again tonight, with more snow forecast!
