Flood

It rained & it flooded yet again (screenshot) £3.5 million spent since 2007 on flood defences that have yet to be delivered, that’s £3.5 million spent by environment agency consultants talking about it - scandalous!
Today a tractor driver took it on himself to drive his huge machine at speed through the deep flood waters in the narrow streets, this caused a huge bow wave which smashed shop windows & created so much extra damage - why???? I hope he’s insured because most of the businesses are unable to obtain flood insurance now so they’ll be coming for him.
The river & brook used to be dredged bi-annually with a rolling maintenance of the rivers banks carried out. When the EA took over from the river’s authority this stopped, it’s not rocket science to see why the flooding is happening.
