This'n'That

Special skull

Another quick walk around the place, and I walked by the place where Old White Face’s bones are in the forest. Old White Face was a special doe to me. She wandered around our house for several years and gave birth to several pairs of twins and single fawns. She was very used to us and used to lie down under the huge cedar close to our house. I often talked to her. A few years ago, I went for a walk down the trail and she was lying down by our little cabin, obviously close to death. I called G, and we said goodbye to her, then left her to die, didn’t seem right to stay. I was so sad. Now and then, I walk by her bones and remember what a lovely animal she was and how lucky we are to share space with wildlife. I did blip her a few times.
