'Oh, to be Fourteen Again'

My granddaughter is fourteen years old tomorrow - how time flies—turning into a young lady now.

We had a family get-together to celebrate  (the third birthday celebration this month) with the 14th traditional photographic record of her blowing out her birthday cake candles, but this time not before collecting her hair so as not to singe it as she leant forward to do so. We also gave her presents (extra)

I should explain that there were fewer than 14 candles this year because some of the cake, made by her younger brother, had been eaten at an earlier party she'd had with her friends on Friday! (More on this from MollyG today.)

Oh, to be fourteen again!
