Diggin' It

Last night was a second night of rain hammering on the windows and garden furniture being blown around the garden. I think Storm Bert has now passed through. I've heard reports of trees being down all over the place but we've been fortunate.

I went out to get something from the car today and noticed the shovel I'd put in there before going to Wales when I heard the forecast for snow. Fortunately we didn't have to use it but on a couple of occasions I was pleased to have four wheel drive available just for the sure-footedness for short periods. I also put in a big fleece blanket, just in case and a couple of bottles of water.

I've left the shovel in there for the time being but it looks as if the temperatures are staying up for a little while.
