The day of the locust
I was returning from my blip hunt empty handed (not more vines/plane trees!) when I spotted this immaculate locust. It's so shiny it looks newly hatched. Fortunately it appeared to be alone.
I drove to the airport to pick S up this morning. I timed it so well that I heard the plane taxi-ing to the terminal as I got out of the car, and minutes later he was out of arrivals and we were off home within the 15-minute free parking slot. It's been a surprisingly warm and sunny day, given how cold it was yesterday. Apart from my blip walk, we've lounged at home, reading and relaxing.
Oh -- one thing that did get done was S sending off the electronic paperwork for airline credit for our abandoned Cuba flights. Iberia replied right away approving it, surprisingly!
