In the Churchyard
Mr HB’s #1 son came for a fleeting visit yesterday all the way from North Norfolk and stayed the night before commencing the long journey home again today. So good to see him again after too long – Mr HB’s family are scattered all over the UK and beyond, which takes family get-togethers a bit of organising. Anyhow, the two of them used all the hours they had together to full advantage and as A is going to relocate to Bristol with his new job in the New Year we will hopefully be seeing a lot more of him.
After the last two busy days without any real outside time, I felt the need of some fresh air and after A had left I took myself off for a stomp round the block, where I met some lovely friends and their dogs along the way, lots of chat, and finally a walk round our Churchyard. Light was fading fast but I liked the icy look I’ve given to the Cotoneaster. Actually, all the snow has gone now and apart from being a tad breezy it's much warmer today.
3 bananas in the fruit bowl looked a little past their best so I turned them into a very good Banana Loaf, which we enjoyed with some softened butter? (Waitrose recommended?) and a cuppa.
