Hydrangea

I spent some time out in the garden planting out some bare root roses which arrived just at the start of the cold spell. It reminded me of a friend who sent her brother half a dozen bare root roses one Xmas. When she visited a few months later he confessed that he had thrown them out because they were dead!! He was not a gardener.
