Bye bye bathroom

Up at 6am this morning (ugh), ready for Lee and Tom to come and start ripping out the bathroom. Lee did all the plumbing bits, capping off the shower and toilet, etc, and then left Tom to spend all day chipping away at the many layers of tiles on the walls (three layers in places). Both did a very good, neat, job and left us with a working bath, thankfully. Now to let the floor and wall around the shower dry out, and they'll be back in a couple of weeks to take off the rest of the tiles and start fitting the new bathroom. Messy, but exciting.

I did quite a bit of work today, and agreed with Char that I will go back on reduced hours next week - going to try half days and see how that goes. At least I stopped feeling like I had a dirty hangover today; the past few days have not been pleasant. (Phantom hangover, I hasten to add; definitely not feeling like drinking much more than half a glass of wine at the moment.)
