Catching Snowflakes

Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Mini Princesses,

It’s very snowy today! The Eldest Mini Princess is back for the weekend* and the 2 of us had a lovely afternoon hunkering down for the afternoon and watching ‘Wicked Little Letters’ which we both loved. The bit where Rose tells Edith she can’t even swear properly made me properly laugh!

I was all set to hunker down for the evening too but The Prince received a text at lunchtime about a friend from London being in town and asking if we could meet at 5:30 for a couple of hours.

I had to take a minute to let that settle in my brain before remembering that sitting on the sofa really isn’t a reason to say “no”. EMP and I shook our heads and mocked the rubbishness of boy plans. It was only as we were about to walk out of the door that The Prince fessed up that it had actually been arranged a couple of weeks ago but he’d completely forgotten about it!

Was there a slightly passive aggressive conservation about the family calendar? Couldn’t possibly say!

*Terry’s parents are having a do for their silver wedding anniversary tonight.
