Transport Crisis
Dear O'H dear, Lovely Tea Jenny and The Mini Princesses,
The Eldest Mini Princess is using my car at the moment as she has a placement which is outwith the city and it’s much quicker to drive there.
So when The Prince has had appointments, I have been getting the bus out to see Mary Doll and Victor. I quite like it. It’s dead easy. I walk to a stop 5 mins away and there’s a stop 5 mins from their house. It takes less than an hour. Really not a hardship.
Unless you are Mary Doll and Victor. I was about to leave their house today and was checking the bus app. Victor asked what I was looking at and I explained I was just checking the bus times.”
Victor: “Did you get the bus? I thought you drove.”
Me: “No, I jumped on a bus.”
Victor: “I was sure I heard your car,” as he stood up to look out of the window at the drive and the parking bay opposite.
I was a little bemused.
Me: “Why are you checking? I didn’t forget that I drove out here!”
He then went through to the kitchen to my mum. “Mary Doll, did you know she came here on the bus?”
Mary Doll: “Right enough, I didn’t think I’d heard the car pull up.”
Me: “BECAUSE I DIDN’T DRIVE!”
I then got a row for getting the bus.
“Your dad could have picked you up.”
“I GOT THE BUS. It’s not like I went on a pilgrimage!”
It was such big news that my brother called me later to say that he’d heard I was going over and above, “even getting the bus.”
Wait until they find out about trains!
