Legacy

So here we are, one year on from The Olympics.

There is much talk of legacy and the impact The Games had on the UK.

I was on Radio Lancashire this afternoon with another Gamesmaker and it was amazing to hear her story.

We agreed that all 70,000 of us had the best job ever at that time.

I'm so in the local paper tonight with my thoughts 1 year on. I was a little surprised, however that they have cropped two Gold Medallists from the photo they have used to only show me.

There is definitely a legacy in terms of participation and tonight was evidence of this.

We could have watched the Anniversary Games but instead we were out in force taking part in a relay race. Teams of three set off at 1 minute intervals over a 2.6 mile trail course on a lovely summer evening (same weather as a year ago).

Hot dogs, chat and a prize for every team ended a very good evening.
