BERT

Well after a bitterly cold but beautiful week we were woken by Bert today.. what a storm!! Huge winds and rain and sleat.. the sea whipped up into a froth and pounded its way to the shore. By the time the seas had built up the tide was heading out which was lucky for the houses at the west end of the bay.  We dashed out to get a coffee and visit a new shop at Bowhouse but got totally soaked and nearly blown over! Home again and indoors until the afternoon when the wind dropped down and the rain stopped. The cloud lifted to show the snow on the south side of the Forth.. we were lucky I think. 
A walk to the harbour and a seal giving birth as the light fell.. then a cosy supper and word games with an ancient set of Word making Word taking. 
We had a leak.. lucky we were here and caught just over a litre of water in a bucket!!  Arghghgh!
