Sunrise Over the Patuxent

We were awake before the alarm went off this morning. We finished what little food was still in the refrigerator and were on the road before sunrise. The sun was making a spectacular appearance as we crossed the bridge between our county and Calvert. We were at the soccer fields a few hours later. Kim and Brooklyn had spent the night in a hotel with the team. They are celebrating Brooklyn’s best friend’s birthday over the entire weekend. Kim said they were up past midnight giggling as young girls do. It was rather chilly and windy this morning. We came prepared, dressed in layers. The 9:15 game was exciting. We won 2-1. It was hard to get pictures from so far away. There is a shopping mall nearby. We went to Bath and Body Works so I could get a few more stocking stuffers. A few products were at rock bottom prices or I’d skip them. We had a leisurely TexMex lunch, came to the second set of fields and promptly took a nice nap. Brooklyn’s next game is at 4:45. They will play again tomorrow but we will be near Philadelphia watching Parker. We will travel to our hotel, about two hours from here, after Brooklyn’s game. These grands keep us active for sure. Wishing you an exciting weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. "Every sunrise gives you a new beginning and a new ending. Let this morning be a new beginning to a better relationship and a new ending to the bad memories. It's an opportunity to enjoy life, breathe freely, think and love. Be grateful for this beautiful day." - Norton Juster
