Switch on

The plan today was to walk into town for the Christmas lights switch on but it was really cold and raining when we headed off for the paper that we decided it was probably not going to happen. Very slippery as the rain had frozen in places during the night. Did lots of jobs around the house, including changing bedding and ironing, popped out for some food shopping and spotted the local Christmas tree being decorated. We had a few games of mancala and hubby made us a mini Guinness. It was raining all day but around 4:30 it stopped so we decided to walk down and see the lights switched on. Just as we got there fireworks filled the sky and although they had said there would no noise Hetty heard them and got a bit stressed so hubby walked her away from the centre and I walked through it.
Really busy, which is lovely and good for local businesses.
Saturday evening so I cooked and now about to look for something to watch.
