Happy Birthday!

Today was my Mums birthday. She was thrilled with the mincer I got for her and really pleased with her surprise present of some chrome spheres I bought for her garden; the hens will have great fun pecking them I'm sure!!
Mum & I went to East z East (her favourite Indian restaurant) for dinner, which was amazing as always. My only problem was the waiter; he was pleasant enough but made a beeline for me as soon as we got to our table and continued winding me up the whole evening. This is a recurring problem I have with waiters; in fact I'm bracing myself for round two tomorrow night, when I'm out with Mr A's family for his niece's birthday.
The last time we went to tomorrow's venue (again, sans Mr A) I got grief from the waiter all night (much to the amusement of everyone else). It was harmless banter and to be fair, I gave as good as I got, but I seem to be the easiest target as they obviously assume I'm single.
Where's Mr A when I need him? Oh yeah, Hong Kong!!! 3 more days :-)
