in a good cause

Very warm outside. At this time of year there is no point when it cools down enough in the evening for there to be an optimal time to pop out for a run, remaining hot beyond the point when it gets dark. The optimal time is still as late as possible as there are then less people to avoid on the former railway and less ned-children shouting amusing things such as "oi, beardy" from their perches on top of fences. At least it's nice and cool in the tunnel. Unfortunately I was also unable to cool down outside the door upon returning as anti-social fuckwit neighbour underneath often chooses to spend his evenings filling the air to the rear of the flat with smoke and the sound of television.
