Café Jean
Back blip
This is the wee area that myself, Bb and his mum always referred to as Café Jean. Taken after midnight on our last full day in Scotland on this trip. When we helped my m-i-l move into her flat here in 2002, we were keen that this area was set up as an informal eating area like this and one where she could sit and write letters, have a coffee, lunch etc, rather than use up space for a bigger more formal dining area, which we felt would hardly get used. We’re very glad we did. And so was my m-i-l Jean!
The rest of the day - we tidied up her flat to leave it spick and span, I ironed name labels onto her clothes and took them to hang them up and put into drawers in her new room in Hutton Park, last visit to see her in hospital and then had fish and chips in The George Hotel. She’ll be moved into her new home tomorrow. We won’t be here for that, but fingers crossed.
