Hunkered Down

today thanks to storm Bert, though we don't have it as bad as some others.

Charlie offered herself as a blip subject this afternoon.  She's watching the silvery ball in my hand ;)

I got up early especially to get through the supermarket at a decent time.  Arrived at Sainsburys at 8.15am....

Sorry, now for the rant:

I had completed my shop after much hunting and going this way and that - because guess what - they've moved everything around for the C word - and maybe permanently.  So instead of being about to go round and get out within an hour, I was still there at 10am  and in a lot of pain in my knee :(:(  

This all thanks to the stupid, stupid people who make people every time have their 12, or 14 items scanned to check you've put them through on the scanner before self service.  I will definitely not be using that scanner thing again, I've had enough.  

Every time I've been recently (and I shop online a bit or go to Aldi now, (less stress)) they have stopped me for a check.  For some reason this time - though they could not tell me which item it seemed I hadn't scanned something - I check the scanner before going through the till.  Anyway - they then decided to do a FULL CHECK on all my shopping as well - the humility and feeling like a thief :(:(

Got home, had a cuppa ginger and lemon tea and a few maltesers...and relaxed a little

Then I phoned them up and complained - and the woman said she could hear what I was saying etc etc, - However, they note complaints but they are never responded to anymore!!  WHAT a shambles....  

End of rant but still feeling very frustrated at the treatment...

(Oh and they don't sell cards with ages on any more :( )

Does anyone know where I can get a card for for my 90 year old Step Dad?

Anyway, I put on some relaxing music and I've written some more of my talk.  Just got a bit to finish off before sending to a friend to look at it and let me know if its OK or not :)
