Lothian Cat Rescue

There are harder ways to spend a day... My work allows us to take one day a year to do something for charity. There are a couple of dates on which things are specifically organised, but we can also sort something out for ourselves. And so it was that I found myself helping out at Lothian Cat Rescue, the same place we got Isla from over two and a half years ago.

Such a nice day. Okay, so there was loads of cleaning, and cat litter, and generally a lot harder work than sitting in front of a computer screen all day. But there were also cats and kittens. That's got to make up for any manual labour...

There was even time at the end of the day to have a couple of glasses of fizz in the garden with Mel before heading into town for the indulgence of a hot shave at Ruffians, and then dinner with Mel at Kanpai, and cocktails at Missoni. Best day in a wee while.
