Arran gold

We arrived at Ardrossan to catch the lunchtime ferry to Brodick, on the Isle of Arran.

The low sunlight was beautiful on the hills as we arrived. Got settled into our room at Auchrannie, then went for a drive around the island.

Unfortunately, here at Machrie the road was closed, so we couldn’t get all the way round. Back to the hotel for a very enjoyable meal - and not a small drop of wine.

On the way back a dusting of snow had fallen.
