The Floating Man

Into Glasgow this afternoon and within minutes of stepping out of the station I see this Floating Man Living sculpture in Buchanan St.

He has a big audience as folk try to figure out how he is suspended. My theory is that he is in some kind of rigid metal harness attached to his walking stick.
Any other suggestions?
