Another Fieldfare

As we arrived at the lodge we could see blackbirds and a fieldfare feasting on the neighbours berries. I was quick to get a shot before starting work.

Today was, unusually, lodge-cleaning day. We could have left it until Saturday morning but there was a massive snowfall forecast. Not only did we not want to be travelling in it, we wanted to offer our visitors the chance to get here tonight, before the bad weather.

Our visitors weren't coming far and jumped at the chance. It will be lovely for them to see the lodge in snow, briefly. Very alpine. Thank goodness they weren't coming along the A66 westbound, the gates were closed this evening.
