Storm Bert

I blipped the village out of the bedroom window at 07.40 and went back to bed (my turn for breakfast in bed!). Parkrun was cancelled last night so that saved me wading through snow with the keys to the store, sensible decision to make the call early.

There is a bit of an alpine feel about the house as the solar panels keep shedding their load now it is turning to sleet/rain, so sitting here on the settee there is a sudden slide, a heap of white stuff past the window and a whumph as it meets the ground.  I have ventured out to post Terezie's present so everything crossed there please, picked up some yummy treats from Yorkshire Treats, filled up the bird feeders, given the squirrels some nuts (yes I know I said they had to fend for themselves now!) righted the conifer, fell over in the snow and was helped up by neighbours (should have pretended I was doing a snow angel) and now I think it's a day for working on my Blipbook, knitting and doing the new jigsaw, although I may just venture out to see if the wildlife camera picked up anything in the drying ground overnight.
