What a Day
You know how some days nothing much happens. And some are chock full of good stuff. Today was one of those. We got up early so Shelly could go to the gym with his friend Stu. I went home, fed the cat and took a nap. I woke refreshed. It was a sunny cold day and I decided to drive up to Whatcom Falls Park and walk. I figured the stream and falls would be full due to the recent rain. And they were. I took lots of photos and walked around three miles. As I passed a path to condos I thought of my friend Anne. We only met walking in the park but had many lovely conversations together. I figured I’d probably never see her again as I rarely walk in that park these days. As I was walking up the hill to the path out, there she was. What good luck. We had a great talk and hope to meet again some time. I stopped at the market on the way home and as I left to drive home it was raining as the sun shone and there was a gorgeous rainbow. Dinner was yummy with the lamb and salads I bought at the market. And then, to top it all off, we went to Western Washington University to hear an amazing Russian pianist named Mikhail Vorkresensky. What a day!
