Wintry Golf Course

A bright, frosty, start to the day encouraged me to get out my bike to cycle to my podiatrist appointment. I had a lovely ride over the golf course, encountering only a couple of icy puddles, and my feet feel so much more comfortable now.
This afternoon I took my mum into Winchester to visit the charity Christmas card shop so she could choose a selection. That was the easy bit; the time consuming part of helping her write  them starts next week!!  In the space of an hour we bumped into two people I knew -S, a former work colleague of Martin's and then V, an old colleague of mine.
Then, this evening,I heard that D, the wife of another colleague, M, had died suddenly, today, (although she had had dementia for a few years) so I was in contact with V again to tell her the sad news.
