Undercarriage Neatly Retracted

Unlike yesterday's poor rook, this red kite has its undercarriage/talons tucked away tidily.

When I was eating my breakfast a buzzard landed just outside the window. I've never seen one that close before. Shame I didn't have the camera to hand.
