Serious Skating!

I had intended on my usual Friday commute by two wheels this morning but the snow overnight which then froze solid made that an impossibility! It was like a giant ice skating rink out there.

I put my big girl pants on and got in Ottie to brave driving to school. I made it...having witnessed three car accidents! I had 6 children absent too quoting the icy conditions as being too dangerous. I've never had that before!

The ice has thawed quite a bit as the day has progressed but there is still a lot of it about...and heavy snow to fall tomorrow early morning followed by torrential rain, and ridiculous winds...and eleven degrees...baffled!!
