Rydal water

What a freezing cold morning. Our new duvet was very toasty.
We intended to get up early and go to Rydal water to see if there were any good reflections but it was  a bit ripply by the time we got there.
We walked up to Rydal cave and the extra is a detail of the rock inside the cave.
After a few photos at the caves we walked down the slope back to the car park. What an adventure that was! Everyone was slipping and sliding around trying to find the safest bit of the path down . We heard a sudden noise and looked up to see a young woman in running gear sliding on her bottom about a hundred feet down along the path. She was unhurt and was seemingly very cool about it all but, I couldn’t help thinking it was a bit crazy to run in those conditions.
