Gently down the stream

Cold blackbird

Extremely cold this morning.  Yes, I am aware that many/most of you will have had it colder than this generally mild part of the southern UK, but my fingers were turning white with two layers of fingerless gloves plus a pair of lined leather gloves.  So bulky in fact it was hard to press the shutter button.

I went round the reserve early.  Most of the birds were in hiding.  I saw the buzzard in the distance, but not a lot else, except the blackbirds and robins hoping for mealworms.  Lucky I had some in my pocket!

Still we had plenty of blue sky, which was lovely.

The rest of the morning was taken up with getting in supplies for J's birthday tomorrow.  The day he was born it was raining and fairly warm and I think that's the way the weather's going tomorrow too.

Have a good evening  xx
