Grim Determination
A bit of a last minute blip here, to be fair. As the Sun went down and the contractors left for the weekend, I nipped out into the freezing cold back garden to capture seemingly the last remaining flower...
All the cosmos, so pretty in their pink, had been holding the onset of bleak winter for a while, but the last two nights of sub-zero were an ending to them. Only this single brave rosebud stands firm against the winter chill.
The patio is looking lovely and clean, not least because the float on the header tank ballcock valve failed last night, and the overflow... overflowed. Happily our neighbour kindly texted and asked if we had left the outside tap on.
A simple job for this morning but a shame it didn't wait a bit because we're about to move from header tank to pressurised system, Ah well.
