Slippery Slope
Rather treacherous underfoot this morning, a harsh overnight frost led to very slippery conditions on the pavement.
Scuppered our plans to go much further than Ilkley.
So Elaine and l went to a coffee shop in the village where l saw this lovely cushion that really matched the festive painted window.
Looked really attractive but we were definitely not sitting outside today.
Good coffee and we were tempted to cake too.
This meant we didn’t go out for lunch as planned so we are having fish and chips from the local chippy this evening.
Took an item back that l ordered and collected earlier in the week.
Then because the Black Friday event was on at Jigsaw, l bought the handbag l have had my eye on for two months.
Still expensive by my standards but it’s a classic, it will do for Tim’s wedding next year but l won’t be saving it until then , it’s to be used.
l am more or less sorted for the big day. Two dresses purchased, one is safe, the other is quite a statement. The shoes l bought go with both. Safe dress needs a hat, the other one needs nothing ( but if l do opt for that one it needs shortening as it’s full length at the moment).
We decided that the weather might not be too good this weekend so went to M&S foods for a bit of a stock up in case we choose not to go out.
