Melting
The snow stopped this morning. It was just above freezing and everywhere was slippery and slushy. I thoroughly enjoyed my swim and hoped for a walk later.
The roads were clear so I went over to Fradley Pool. It was quiet and I realised that the regulars weren’t around because the deep layer of leaves across the path were very slippery. I needed to be cautious. I was, and only did one circuit, very carefully.
The light was pretty. There was a solitary grey heron sharing a platform with some gulls. And there was a Muscovy Duck not far from the bridge. I’ve never seen one of these ducks here before. (Mind you, I’d never seen one by our hotel pool in Funchal before last Thursday.)
I enjoyed the freshness of the air, and the autumn colours brought to life in the light. The clouds and the water looked rather good too (extra)
