Gurpurab
After meeting Sumeeta yesterday, I thought that given that I would be skipping bhangra again next week, it might be better to go in today. Ashwin was taking the advanced classes today. It began with a difficult warm up for me (all the others breezed through it). And then, he asked Sumeetha and me to do a step called Makhni. I didn't think I did well, so he went to teach us the most basic step which was to jump on the beat. Sadly, that went on for over an hour. Sumeetha and Shareen got it but I didn't get it still. Sumeetha left for her bharatnatyam class that she was teaching. I was due to go to the Gurudwara on the occassion of Gurupurab but it was just then Ashwin narrated his story. It saddened me to think about all the things he has been through. Although, I could not offer more help than giving him a big hug. I told him what Sumeetha and my buddist studies mentioned which is "people dissapoint but hobbies don't disappoint", so he should continue at bhangra and not care about the whole world. After this, I left for the gurudwara where I spent 1.5 hours and I had the delicious langar. I took a walk around Leith afterwards and catched the bus to home after.
