It is Friday

This was the Tim Kliphuis (violin )with Nigel Clark at Kirkcudbright Church last evening.
It featured “pictures at an Exhibition”- pictures by Hartmann that inspired music by Mussorgsky together with some additional paintings that had inspired them. The painting on the wall - Hartmann’s watercolour depicted a peasant wagon with huge wooden wheels being drawn by oxen - symbolic of today’s entire animal kingdom - overwhelmed and exhausted
The third member of the Tim Kliphuis Trio was Roy Percy from Edinburgh. Tim is from the Netherlands and Nigel from Dublin.
