We don't get snow in Cornwall!!!!!
Woke to snow and heavy snow still falling and that ominous quietness that means the roads aren't great.
We were booked in for mantrailing over lunchtime period. I messaged the instructor to say I might not be there, but fortunately an hour before we were due there traffic started to move.
I took the southerly route out of the village, thinking as I approached the A30 it would improve as the roads would hopefully be gritted. The A30 was closed east bound due to snow and a lorries blocking the road. Fortunately I was going west bound. Strangely as I got out the other side of Bodmin there was no snow.
Got to the mantrailing venue without any further issues and the bottom photo is Brown Willy and Rough Tor on Bodmin moor from the Royal Cornwall Showground.
Got home safely and decided not to risk going out to line dancing as ice is forecast.
Storm Bert is now on it's way
