New Look Window

Has minimalism taken over our lives? No! This is one of the windows that will shortly be replaced, and this morning Jan cleared away virtually everything from around the window. Six more windows to clear!
Outside is the snow and the storm. The air is full of snow but it's not falling snow but snow that is being whipped up from the ground by the wind (gusting 55mph). The forecast big snowfall ended up missing us, arriving a bit further south and north, which is fine with me!
The storm advice is "stay home" and transport is badly affected with lorries stuck and blocking roads, and trains and busses cancelled, so it's good that yesterday we decided we'd not travel anywhere!
It's a wild day outside, even without the snowfall, but we wrapped up well and did some jobs out in the garden; emptying a water butt, moving firewood around, clearing snow from doorways and the kayak tent, and doing a couple of loads of washing.
We've had the woodburner going all day, pumping heat into the house, to counteract the chilly outside, and because the  heating was turned down a little while we away.
Now the house is really toasty, despite the weather, which feels lovely.
