Bell Harp
There's still some little snow from yesterday left around my house but here, by the shore, it's all gone. The air is clear as glass but the wind is razorblade-sharp down here. The sun has now lost all its warmth and my walk didn't last very long in the realms of zero degrees. Longer walks demand long john hereafter.
I passed by the Red Cross charity shop to get some tea-spoons if they had any, they did, but also this instrument, in its original box, no less. Of course I had to buy it in the end, it looks like it can perhaps be fixed and made playable. It's a zither of a kind that sometimes is called an "Auto harp", in this case it can also be called a "Mandolin Zither" or, as I will call it: A "Bell harp". Listen to this clip on youtube, It will be a while before it sounds like this but, how can I not want it? And it was only 20€.
Does any of you have any relation to such an instrument?
