10 Years
It's hard to believe that this is my 10 year blip anniversary. The time seems to have gone very quickly. In this time, I think I'm right in saying, I have only missed two days. My very first blip was a picture of cough medicine taken at the local co-op when I was ill and I didn't think I would still be blipping 10 years later.
I still think one of the most fascinating aspects of blip is that it acts as a journal and I like to look back on what I was doing on this day in the past. It makes me realise that taking a quick 'uninteresting' blip on some days doesn't matter in the slightest as strangely these pictures tell their own story and in retrospect become more interesting. Of course it has also helped my photography a lot and I have a much better understanding of my camera than I did 10 years ago so mission accomplished.
Thanks to everyone who follows me and it has been wonderful to meet quite a few of you over the years. I love to read what you are all up to and like to think I have made many friends on here.
This is reading horribly like some award type speech but I would especially like to say thanks to those individuals who keep the whole site running as I think we would all miss it terribly if it wasn't here.
I like to think my journal has plenty of variety and if you don't like birds/geocaching/books/football/canals there will always be something better/different tomorrow. In the meantime I need to think of another series.
I went down to Burton early today to get a blip but the pools were frozen so there wasn't much activity but this robin was very obliging.
