Comforted

I was over in the Big City today for the second time this week - to meet my school friend for lunch. 

It has been a while since our last meet-up, so we had lots to talk about. Us older folks always have new aches, pains and ailments to talk about before we move on to food, sport, family, politics and other minor matters. 

We returned to Mum's in Forrest Road and both enjoyed some old style comfort food - just right for this cooler weather. 

When I got up this morning the temperature was -1ºc, and -7ºc with the windchill factored in. That ended any discussion in my head about a Midweek Workout. 

I got my Blip in the restaurant - I find the slightly retro style of decor comforting, just like the food.
