In the distance
I was a bit on edge today, because the last time we had a lecture like the one we had this evening, with a distinguished professorial guest, was also the night of the big fire. Anyway we've escaped unscathed this time although as I'm back blipping I can report that I had a pretty vivid dream about waiting for imminent nuclear armageddon.
I spent much of the rest of the day in meetings including an important one in the afternoon to set the tone in relation to how we are going to confront the financial challenges we are all facing at least from the perspective of my school.
The lecture was fun although somewhat over my head, but my colleagues asked excellent questions in the Q&A which I chaired. As a result of the questions which were asked and the answers given I ended up understanding the lecture better.
I walked to work and got my blip in a slightly wintery Pilrig Park.
