The Pair That Run on Air

The colors shout of Autumn,
the hats are kind of quirky.
I've given names to the birds of brown...
they be called Thom and Tara Turkey.

The birds are lucky they are so big,
too big for the holiday table.
I'm thinking of cutting their ropes...
let them run if they're willing and able.

And so ends the tale of Tara and Thom,
the two HUGE Thanksgiving birds.
I hope I gave them their due...
with my less-than-inspiring words.
