Long Meg
Today our 3.5 year old cat, Felix, was to have a number of investigations (bloods, x-ray & bronchoscopy) into an ongoing cough. The vet suspects asthma but his chest is clear and he is happy & healthy apart from this chronic cough.
We dropped him off at the vet before 9am and were in need of a distraction, so we headed across to Cumbria to visit Long Meg and her sisters close to Penrith. It was a challenging day photographically as there wasn't a cloud in the sky and the large stone circle difficult to capture. From there, we had a lovely walk taking us past a beautiful sandstone church and through the churchyard (extras). After lunch, we popped to Rheged to see the superb Herdwick exhibition. Thanks to walkingMarj for the top tip!
We picked Felix up late in the afternoon. The x-ray quite clearly shows some fibrosed tissue in his wee lungs and we wait for the results of the lavage to confirm. If it is asthma, we will need to administer a steroid inhaler which will be interesting!!
I had hoped to take his photo tonight but he is still very spaced out with pupils like saucers. He will sleep tonight!
