..to see Ben's New Hair!
He's aged about five years in 
one day! Been a Star  

Well, we've done it.  Haircut for Ben.  I've wanted to do it for ages, when he's been accessing respite he can't wash his own hair and I feel like that is setting him up to fail but I've been anxious about losing the blond bob and some of the innocence and wondering whether I'm being too harsh and practical.  Now I've done it, I know it was the right thing, he is so happy with how it looks and I have to say, he was good as gold whilst the mobile barber was cutting it. It helped that we were at home with no distractions and he obviously likes novelty but I'm really pleased with how it's all gone and I feel like it's totally been the right thing for him.  Phew.  I also think this is one of the best, most natural photos I've had from Ben for a while, I can usually make him laugh and catch a giggle but a quiet, reflective, happy face for the camera is more elusive!
There's other stuff, wakeful night, Mr KCNQ2Haiku been in London, neurology appointment, barky dog, dodgy school day but for now I leave you with the successful haircut :-)
