Woke up to about 10 cms of snow- a bit of a surprise. Put some warm clothes on and caught the bus into town to meet St for brunch. We went to the Cosy Club. An odd name but its a coffee shop, bar and restaurant in a beautiful old Victorian building which started life as a gentleman’s club. Think The Reform club rather than Pink Rhino! It has been very carefully restored, complete with the original stained glass windows which they found piled up in the cellar. The food was good too so I will be back. St did a lot of moaning about the nhs, his health and one of his friends who apparently continually complains about his own health!
Decided to do a bit of browsing afterwards and ended up buying two pairs of boots, some heathen tops and underwear . The last two items were from m snd s. I haven’t looked at the clothes in there for a few years and was pleasantly surprised. Did some tidying and list making when I got home, and settled down quite early to have supper and then watch TV.
