Cellardyke

This is the tidal swimming pool being topped up! It doesn't show the ferocity of the rollers coming in behind the rocks in this photo but I could never catch the huge splash off the rocks at the same time as the ploof arriving into the still waters of the pool. 
Another icy day but with such clear beauty I just couldn't quite soak it all up try as I might! 
Home now and about to do some painting before my youngest turns up in time for supper and to stay a few days with her partner. I am looking forward to them being here even though I will have to take on the cooking (that's what mums do don't they?) When I am here alone I just make do with not much and only when I need it.. but that doesn't work in the same way with other people in the house. 
I am also looking forward to sharing the job of removing the papers from my mothers quilt with help from my daughter so that she also feels a part of the journey to completion. My mum would love that.. funny to think the unfinished top has returned home to where my mother worked on it up until 1997 ish.
