Shadowlands

Snow gone in the valley but still on the tops.
What a lovely sunny day but bitterly cold.
Did a towel wash and hung it out as there was a light, cold breeze.
Saw one of my garden ornaments had cast a shadow because of the low lying sun.
Wrote two birthday card, one included a letter to my friend, an old teaching colleague who could make me laugh until l cried.
Her husband is ill so we are not meeting up at the moment and she doesn’t want visitors, l get that.
Posted the cards and called at the Waste Not shops the village. I had taken two containers with me so l filled them up with bulgar wheat and dried cranberries. The dried cranberries here are natural and more brown than red, goodness knows what are added to the ones in packets that are bright red.

Brought the towels in , surprisingly nearly dry.
Will finish them off in the conservatory which was nice and warm because of the sun.

Went into Ilkley to collect an order which l will try on at home later.
Finally went inside the Bath House. (They sell beautiful toiletries not baths) .
They have a dispenser outside the shop and l use some every time l pass and love both the perfume and feel of it. Have bought it for presents in the past but bought myself some as a present today, telling myself’ l am worth it ‘. Mr P would like that.

Went straight on to get Kitty from school and we are now in Skipton.
She is getting ready for ballet , l am having a cuddle with Ronnie, a coffee and having not one but two chocolate biscuits, another treat : l am spoiling myself.
