Dream

I've waited a long time to get this shot, the Temple of Venus on Garendon Estate with snow cover. I was very grateful to Len for volunteering to drive me to the vantage point. It's still very cold and there's too much ice about for my liking.

Whereas Basil used to frolic in the snow, now he picks his way carefully. Sign of the times sadly.

As for the title Dream, as well as fulfilling an ambition, I'm off to watch Britten's version of A Midsummer's Night Dream to be performed by Opera North in Nottingham tonight. This will mean an early getaway. I need to go and cook the dinner now.
