The Ancient Craft of Thatching

Our village pub, The Wheatsheaf, dates back to the 18th century and is a protected building which means its re-roofing must comply to the rules. There are not many thatchers around these days though fortunately this guy in the hi-vis jacket is one of that special and dwindling group. The old thatch had been leaking for years, so it will be great when it is restored to its former glory.
