Complicated Times
This small ladies watch, probably from the 1970s or 1980s, is a reminder of things before the digital revolution. It is by no means a luxury item (though it may have cost a relatively significant sum when purchased) but is a marvel of tiny metal cogs working together to keep perfect time. Its power came from tiny metal spring which you had to remember to wind up each day. If you look closely this was probably the cause of its demise as, apart from the dust(!), the spring is broken.
If you look inside a similar digital watch from today all you’d probably see would be a button battery, which lasts a few years or so, a few plastic cogs to drive the hands, if present, and a circuit board.
For the Tiny Tuesday challenge of “complicated”.
